(1) The pen uses a standard Parker style ball point pen cartridge (black ink included). The pen as shown is just under 5.6" long, and just over 0.56" diameter at the widest point.
(2) The pencil uses a heavy duty 2mm pencil lead (included). The pencil as shown is just over 5.7" long, and just over 0.58" diameter at the widest point.

To operate the pen, click the plunger to extend or retract the ink cartridge. The ink cartridge can be replaced by unscrewing the pen tip. Remove the old ink cartridge, transfer the spring to the new cartridge, and then insert the new cartridge into the pen. Then screw the tip back onto the pen body.

The pencil operates by pressing the plunger to extend the lead. A new lead can be loaded by pressing the plunger, and inserting a new 2mm lead through the front tip. The eraser is under the plunger, so to use the eraser simply unscrew the plunger cap from the plunger to expose the eraser. The lead sharpener is the bottom of the plunger. Pull the plunger straight out to remove it from the pencil, extend the lead about 1/2", insert the lead into the sharpener, and twist the sharpener to sharpen the lead. The plunger should be tapped on a surface to remove the lead dust, before returning it to the pencil.
